Any advice? Watched a guy boat 26 lbs out of Oneida lake doing this....

 

It´s the exact same thing, the only difference is you use "real men" gear, in places where "real men" fish, something like this:

Hmm so like 30lbs braid and 15lbs flouro leader and 3/0 worm hook?

Sounds about right. You could still do open hook, but lots of Bubba Shotting is done around grass or other heavy cover

You pretty much covered it bit 30 lbs braid is not what I would call "real men" braid, make it 50 lbs and you are at it.

I use 20 lb Seaguar Abrazx instead of braid - works for me.

That´s what I call "real men" line.  :respect-059:

 

If you can´t uproot by pulling a submerged mesquite or cypress tree then it ain´t real men gear.   :eyebrows:
