grid Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Skip along the bottom, work like a plastic worm? How do you usually fish a weighted tube bait? Quote
Pond-Pro Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I fish them along the bottom with a 1/16oz- 3/16oz weight. If the cover is not too thick, I use a jig head designed for tubes. They work good for spawners. Quote
Guest hibachi Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 my favorite place to fish the tube bait is in thick grass where I think a bass may be bedded. I just pitch the bait into the hole and bounce it up and down in there. Another good tube technique is to carolina rig it with about a 12" leader and bounce the tube along the bottom, then stop for a few seconds then bounce again... use glass beads on the rig for extra noise and also stick a rattle in the tube, it should look, act, and sound like a crawfish to the bass.
