blckshirt98 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 D&M 1st Gen Piranha Swim Jig in Sexy Shad...just got my new 7.5 lb PB this past Saturday! Before that it was a 6 pounder on a 3.5" GYCB Kut Tail on a dropshot. Quote
Super User Cgolf Posted July 23, 2015 Super User Posted July 23, 2015 Largemouth a 2" yellow grub bought prerigged so I could fish a pond that was in the area we were vacationing at in Florida around 30 years ago. Still remember I cast out what I thought was a good cast and thought I was snagged on something. Yanked back hard to free it and the water erupted. I know it was big, not a giant, but being a punk kid I didn't know to measure it. Smallie was with a Ned rig. Finally got a 20 on the river. While a lot of guys probably catch 20s all the time my river system produces a lot of 18 to 19" fish, not many Giants. I know with 95% certainty that this fish is over 8 years old which also gives me an idea that giant river smallies will be few and far between for me on this system. 1 Quote

fishinbub Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 PB was...believe it or not...on a t-rigged 4" Lucky Strike curly-tail worm (walmart special) in motor oil/red when I was 12 or 13. Don't remember the exact weight but it is hanging on the wall above my desk. Since then I've had a few fish that were close on a c-rig and one on a good old Creme Lit'le Fishie that used to be so popular for striper fishing... 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted July 24, 2015 Super User Posted July 24, 2015 I might have caught a new personal best on the Zoom Ultra Vibe Speed craw Tuesday evening. I didn't have a scale or even a phone to take pics. But it fought harder and looked bigger than any bass I've ever caught. So my 3 biggest fish have come on...drum roll please... Zoom Craw, T rigged, black sapphire Snag Proof Original Frog Zoom Trick Worm, bubble gum 1 Quote

mwh33 Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 Berkley powerbait 10 inch power worm black with a blue tail T-Rigged. I am pretty sure I lost what would have been my new PB on a dirty jigs 3/4 oz swim jig with a RI skinny dipper in white trash. Reel locked up and I couldn't even turn the handle. The fish was ripping line and then pop, he's gone. 1 Quote
Jagg Posted January 23, 2017 Posted January 23, 2017 7 lb even super skinny spawned out female, post spawn. Caught her on a black/blue Booyah Baby Boo jig with matching Yum Crawbug trailer. What can I say. I really like Pradco stuff. Maybe not as much as I did back then though. Caught her on a gravel flat on a creek arm about a 1/2 mile from the main river. Back then I didn't do a lot of skirted jig fishing, but when I did it was usually finesse jigs. I very rarely throw black/blue plastics. I guess I should since that was the color I caught that big girl on. Oops, just read whole thread. Guess it's not just LMB. PB 15.5" Guadalupe Bass was on a Rapala Original Floating Minnow size 5; color bleeding copper flash. Was actually fishing for Redbreast with my long glass UL rod on the Upper Guadalupe and caught quite a few of them when this came out of a place were the river bottle necks and current is faster. PB 3.1 Spot came from an EasTex river on a pearl shad color Bomber Model B squarebill. That's a big spot for out that way. They have some Coosa strain spots in some reservoirs in the North, NW and East, but this one was a Kentucky Spot. Quote
