Super User flyfisher Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 According to spotrac, the cowboys will have 16M in cap space next season, which would have to be some serious maneuvering to not take a hit next season unless they give him a huge signing bonus which is still possible. and you are right about the cap money rolling over but it isn't added or counted twice, it is just room they have next season. As far as Sanchez goes, it must be depressing to know a rivals backup QB has more playoff wins than your starter but I guess that is the life of a Cowboys fan. Quote
craww Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Romo dropped 3 tds on you in your house and ended your season last year lol. Its ok, I'd be bitter too if I knew my POS of a team will never win a superbowl. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 actually they didn't knock us out of the playoffs and i am far from bitter. I know the cowboys are back to 8-8 this season. And how quickly you forget the Thanksgiving game where our backup led team trounced the cowboys in their stadium on national TV....it's all good though, that's why they play the games and I am looking forward to the Eagles chances and I will take their progression over the Cowboys any day of the week. It will be interesting to see how many games Dez sits out to make a point and how much of a distraction he is this season since the cowboys can't make a deal work and they only have 5 more days to do it. Super User F14A-B Posted July 13, 2015 Super User Posted July 13, 2015 The eagles do suck, they didn't make the playoffs so until they prove otherwise, i agree To me anything less than a super bowl is a bad season Im playing.. I saw the eagles play some good football last year.. I like to horseass around about sports.. I really like to pick on pats fans,..lol, just kidding fellas! 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 13, 2015 Super User Posted July 13, 2015 you know how i feel about the Cheatriots lol The Eagles have some questions on offense for sure but the upgraded defense and great special teams hopefully help ease any growing pains they may have on that side of the ball. And i am dead serious though, i have been through enough seasons where we don't win that nothing else matters. we can go 16-0 and lose in the playoffs and i will still be ticked off lol Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted July 13, 2015 Super User Posted July 13, 2015 Oh yes! Where's ole deakn at? He will defend the patriots in any situation, it should prove to be another interesting year. I feel fortunate that Peyton plays another year, I thought surely he would retire last year. I have followed him since college.. Guess I better re commit to the colts (yuck)!! Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted July 13, 2015 Super User Posted July 13, 2015 Training camp hasn't even started flyfisher....relax. Philly and Dallas both have schedules that aren't going to be a cakewalk and are pretty much on par /w each other /w Dallas having a game or two worse having to play Green Bay, Seattle (although this one is in Dallas) , and NE in week 5 in Dallas which could be Brady's "coming out". Both teams should go at worst 9-7/10-6 / 11-5. Philly's saving grace as long as they don't lose any "stupid" games is Dallas (I'll call this here) losing to GB. I don't think 9-7 gets any NFC team in this year either. You're going to be in for a heartache if a superbowl is the least you'll be happy with. ZERO chance Philly(or Dallas) gets past GB unless Rogers breaks his collarbone and Jordy/Cobb go down. Quote

Had a Good laugh right there - I heard somewhere that the newest rage in the dating scene is to seek out New England Patriots fans as a prime dating choice - mostly because they don't care if you cheat . . . . Super User Lund Explorer Posted July 13, 2015 Super User Posted July 13, 2015 Thank God that I was cured many years ago form this "your team" disease. Those with an incurable case will never figure out that its only the fans that suffer from it. The players, coaches, and even the back office types are only there for a paycheck, until some other team offers them a better deal. Kinda sad that these diehard fans have more loyalty than the people they are actually cheering on. Quote

As far as getting past Green Bay goes, they are solid for sure but I think the Eagles defense is going to surprise people this year. From a yards standpoint they will always let up a lot given the whole philosophy Chip has regarding time of possession but with a much improved secondary they will win more games. I mean last year, if they had an average secondary they win two more games probably if not 3. Their secondary was historically bad at giving up the big play. Quote
mackroper Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Dallas just made Dez happy, and with a line like they have it doesn't matter who is running the ball! Dallas all the way to the top this year Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 16, 2015 Super User Posted July 16, 2015 everyone really needs to stop with the whole o line thing with dallas. Yes they are good but to think that Murray had nothing to do with the success is silly. Oh, and the Eagles had a better run blocking unit than dallas last year too. Losing as big of a chunk of the offense as they did with Murray will be difficult to replace but I guess that is why they play the games. Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted July 16, 2015 Super User Posted July 16, 2015 Giants Injury prone porous O-Line. One finger short on "D" thanks to JPP. No running back One helluva receiving core I'm not too optimistic right now. Quote

On paper they always look to be having troubles but this is about the time that they somehow pull it together. The skins won't be the normal push over that they have been for the past few years 1 Quote

mackroper Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 I am very curious to see who picks up the running game for Dallas. I don't like the McFadden option, I don't think he can stay healthy Quote

Jd_Phillips_Fishin Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 The Cowboys have a really really good O-line. If McFadden doesn't workout they still have Dunbar and Randle. It won't be near as good as last year, but it will still be good enough. Quote
