Hurricane Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Even though I want the summer to stay, looking forward to this season. . Born and raised in Orchard Park, NY and have been a Bills fan since I started following football at the age of 10.. 26 years a fan.. Defense is solid but still a question at the most important position (QB). It's been like that since Kelly retired. High hopes for the season. . So how's your team looking? Quote
Super User Darren. Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 My team is your team. Â Bills look phenomenal except at QB. Â But I've got a feeling about Tyrod.... Â Who knows who'll win the competition, IÂ just hope Rex doesn't screw it up! Quote

Nice guy, but just don't think he is the answer. . 57000 plus season tickets sold.. Awesome. . 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 At this point, and it's been this way for a while I guess, The Superbowl Champion New England Patriots may be the most hated NFL Team in the land - unless you're a fan of course.  And I am.   The jury is still out, but the team may be without their starting QB for perhaps the first 4 games.  With games against the Steelers, Bill & Jaguars (then the Bye in wk-4 which is weird) those fan bases are probably hoping the Superbowl MVP QB is not in the line up.    Either way after last season, as long as the games are competitive and no one is decapitated, I'm looking forward to a decent year.  The defensive secondary may be an issue - but that seems to be a common theme with this team.  A-Jay  Quote

Super User HoosierHawgs Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 I want the bills to face the pats at their best and that's with Brady under center...I think its more Bellechick's offensive system more so than Brady. When he was drafted, he wasn't much of a player, at least that he'd shown. Matt Cassel didn't look much good either but stepped into Brady shoes and they still did well. Cassel didn't do so well in KC though... So I think its more the offensive strategy/system, than one player. Quote

Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 Raiders go all the way this year. Evendors if we are still rebuilding. We are looking better every year. Raider Nation for Life!!! Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 Eagles have improved or stayed the same at every position except WR. Â And I actually think the WR position could be s surprisingly good unit. Â The secondary was upgraded a lot, which really wasn't that hard given they were historically bad. Â The key is going to be if Bradford can stay healthy. Â I do expect the defense to be one of the top in the league next season. Quote

Hope he runs for 1500 yards.. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 I think McCoy is still the best all around back in the league but Murray does fit the style of the Eagles offense better, especially with Sproles and Matthews in the fold. Â I hope Kiko can be what we saw his rookie year and if he is anywhere close to it, it will be a great trade. Â McCoy probably has 3-4 great years left and Kiko probably has 10 and finding a stud MLB is hard than a RB. Quote
craww Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Great wall of dallas is in place and two new stud DE's coming off the edges. Things are looking good, just hope the injury bug stays away Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 Dallas is going  to have a real tough time replacing Murray and his huge role in last year's offense.  Should be an interesting NFC east season for sure Quote

craww Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Dallas is going to have a real tough time replacing Murray and his huge role in last year's offense. Should be an interesting NFC east season for sure The running game will be just fine as long as randle doesnt get stupid off the field again. Murray had a great season last year but we sat through 3 seasons of him being the offense's sean lee if you will. Whether it was wear and tear from the season or what, he clearly had lost a step the last 3/4 games last year. He got caught by a 13 year defensive end with open field on his big fumble in the greenbay playoff game. History says you dont give a back a big second contract, very few times does it work out. Especially coming off as carries as he had. Hate to see him go but they did the right thing. Dallas is stocking young talent and supposedly will be in very good shape cap wise next year even if dez gets tagged. I do think if hes fresh a healthy murray will be good in kelly's scheme. Marinelli's defense is predicated on frequent substitutions and if he got going on a hurry up drive its a great way to counter that type scheme. The east will be very interesting indeed. The giants have been really banged up and cruz/beckham are going to be a matchup nitemare if on the field together. Not too upset that JPP likes his fireworks lol Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 Dallas is stuck in salary cap hell really and mainly because of Romo and his deal.  They keep restructuring which is fine short term but again next year his cap number increases 7M.  They will have some room next season, I think around 25M if i remember right but the majority of that will go to dez if they keep him as i am sure he will want 20M per year....Jerry may good at running businesses but not at managing the cap lol  As far as Murray goes he won't be required to shoulder the workload like he did in Dallas because Philly has a much more well rounded offense. hoosierbass07 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015  I'm so ticked off with the Cubs and how they are not broadcasting to my area anymore (horrible AM reception, FM station stopped carrying them, no WGN coverage, and all Cub games on the Baseball Network are blacked out) that I'm almost ready to give up on baseball.  I'm ready for the NFL.  At least the Colts have a local FM affiliate near me and they usually show there games on TV.    So yeah, I'm ready for the NFL.  The Colts will get to the play offs.  The question is - how deep will they go?  If I had to bet I would say they win the first round then go out in the second or third, repeating their usually form. Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 Well Chris, so far they all are looking good. Â Now when that pigskin is kicked off all of the summer blabber can be stored away and we will know for sure. Â With so many twists and turns during the NFL season nothing is for sure. Â Those injuries can turn a season from good to bad in one game. Â But it is fun to discuss college and pro football and read what everyone has to say. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 I would just enjoy seeing Peyton Manning have a stellar year.. & get thru, what likely will be his last season, unhurt of course. Other than that, I'm looking forward to another NFL season, for better or for worse.. Oh, eagles still suck, lol ( flyfisher ) JK! 1 Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 The eagles do suck, they didn't make the playoffs so until they prove otherwise, i agree  To me anything less than a super bowl is a bad season 1 Quote
craww Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Fly Dallas isnt in cap hell at all. They can do whatever they want. Yes they restructured Romo a few months back, but it was for flexibilty. As of the deal they were actually 12,000,000 under the cap. The monies not spent carry over now I believe. Many thought this move was in case a certain minnesota player became available. They'll use a chunk of the money but its not as big a deal as folks think. If they sign dez his deal will likely be structured to alleviate some of romo's hit. They did the same thing w/tyron smith where hes getting paid at his peak and an absolute bargain for his performance now. Its not the cap number; its the flexibilty. Theyve been drafting well, hitting on udfa's better than any team in football and the dead money of years past is slowly getting off the books. They are signing more low risk "prove yourself" type deals that have worked in some cases. Stephen Jones and Will McClay are the brains behind more decisions than Jerry supposedly these days and its evident in alot of the moves being made. The eagles actually have more dead money this year than Dallas lol, and sam Bradford/marc sanchez at quarterback. Quote
