Super User iceintheveins Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 What's your favorite bait for heavy vegetation punching? So far for me it's a pit boss or a paca craw/punch. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted July 11, 2015 Global Moderator Posted July 11, 2015 I'd say 90% of the time I use a RI Sweet Beaver. Have been known to toss a Rage Bug from time to time but only as a change up. For me a Sweet Beaver has the right size, shape, action and the longevity I need for punch bait. Mike Quote
Super User HoosierHawgs Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 I like craw tubes. Probably not the most streamline profile, but I like em Quote
Super User iabass8 Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 Rage shellcracker is a pretty awesome punch bait. Culprit incredi-craw is really good, too. Quote
Global Moderator Mike L Posted July 11, 2015 Global Moderator Posted July 11, 2015 Rage shellcracker is a pretty awesome punch bait. Culprit incredi-craw is really good, too. Ya know, I bought a package of the Shellcracker's probably over a year ago now, and haven't even opened it yet. I may try one tomorrow. Mike Quote
Super User FishTank Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 Fat Ika with a 1/2oz+ punching weight. Quote
zeth Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Black Dog Baits Fake Fish!!! Many big fish on this. Otherwise I just use a Keitech Fat Impact. Quote

War Eagle 44 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 D-Bomb's, Paca Punch, Zoom Speed Craw, etc. There are others but these are the ones I can think of at the moment. Both sizes of the D-Bomb are what I'm mainly punching these days. Quote
SwampLife Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 RI sweet beaver Black neon, low blow or June bug.. 1.5 ounce tungsten ... If not sweet beaver it's a d bomb, rage bug or the new zoom z craw Quote
Super User ww2farmer Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 Was the pit boss, until I tried the new yum bad mamma. Stays on and holds a hook better when punching, is more stream lined and compact yet still bulky. Quote
doyle8218 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Culprit Incredi Craw or Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver. Quote
papajoe222 Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 I like a NetBait Super BK tube as I've just started using this technique. A tube is my confidence bait, so I figure to stick with it seeing as I have so many. Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 Rage Bug, DB Craw, Rodent (both sizes) Paca Craw Jr, Biffle Bugs(all 3), VM Hula Bug....all depends on what the fish want but each work under different conditions. Quote
Super User Catt Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 Rage Structure Bug or Lobster Quote
Gungun96 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Gambler "Why not" and the new Gambler "Burner Craw" have been my go to lately Quote
Flippin4Biggins Posted July 13, 2015 Posted July 13, 2015 I love creature baits for this but I enjoy either a d-bomb or a paca craw Quote
Super User Montanaro Posted July 13, 2015 Super User Posted July 13, 2015 Dbomb and missile craw Quote
Super User RoLo Posted July 13, 2015 Super User Posted July 13, 2015 I've been around Robin's barn with punch baits: 'Zoom Big Critter Craw' => 'Sweet Beaver' => 'Havoc Craw Fatty' => 'Jackall Sasuateki' => 'Rage Lobster' => 'D Bomb'. Today it's the 5" 'Zoom Z-Craw - black light' (1¼ oz weight - No skirt) Roger Quote
