hoosierbass07 Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Do any of your grown ups play with Legos? I don't have any but I've been watching lots of videos on legos and they are freaking cool. I'm interested in the Star Wars Legos. Wow. Iv'e got to get these things! lol https://youtu.be/pq5eUfmw5hQ https://youtu.be/PhateEqB1-4 And this one is cool too: https://youtu.be/xdrlmbINPj0 1 Quote
Super User Senko lover Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 If you have a significant other, I'd suggest not lol! My little bro is in to legos, I have a hate thing going on with them that will never die......I've stepped on so many of those stupid little bricks. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 I wanted to but this guys just takes up all my play time. A-Jay 4 Quote
CeeJay Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Yep, I've loved Legos since I was a kid. I'm 39 now haha. My brother and I accumulated a few huge boxes of them over the years. We break them out at parties when the house is crowded and it's still lots of fun. Accidentally stepping on them while barefoot is not much fun though...wow those things hurt Quote
I.rar Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Legos are cool and we have a lot of adults ask about them at my job. Especially the star wars variety. But minimates are better, lol. http://www.minimates.com Quote
Ringonu Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 I was a lego "investor" for a while. Made enough money to buy a boat only using storage space and luck on which sets would appreciate. I still have enough sets put back for an upgraded boat but am holding off for now. My wife and I also have a LEGO winter village that we add to every year. It's addicting. 1 Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 I've got a vintage collection. My youngest is into the Star Wars and Batman Lego kits. 1 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted July 11, 2015 Super User Posted July 11, 2015 I have a couple of the architecture legos but I have yet to complete them. When I have worked on them, it is very calming. 1 Quote
hoosierbass07 Posted July 11, 2015 Author Posted July 11, 2015 I just bought my first Legos kid - Legos architecture United Nations building. When I first saw this a few months ago I thought it was very cool. So I finally grabbed it. The thick book/building instructions that came with it is very nice. What a classy toy/set. Quote
Super User flyfisher Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 My son is just getting into the legos deal and builds some pretty cool things given he is only 5. We are actually going to Orlando and going to hit lego land, should be fun Quote
Super User Catch and Grease Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 I remember my science teacher in middle school was obsessed with legos, he would break them out during class and play with them and it seemed like he would forget he had a class to teach haha Quote
mrmacwvu1 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 would love to make a lego deer blind with my little nephew Quote
novafx4 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I started buying Star Wars lego sets when my son was born in 1999 under the pretense of giving them to him when he was old enough to play with them. Of course I had to assemble them to ensure that all the pieces were there. I eventually gave them to him when he was old enough to appreciate them. 1 Quote
Super User Raul Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 I don´t play with Legos, I do play Lego video games, they are some of my favorite kind of games, can hardly wait for Lego Dimensions. I used to like Legos and to tell you the truth, once I assembled them the fun was gone so no, not even back then I "played" with Legos. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted July 12, 2015 Super User Posted July 12, 2015 I wanted to but this guys just takes up all my play time. A-Jay G I Joe with the Kung-Fu Grip.jpg Ah yes, G I Joe w life like hair & Kung fu grip. I had a parachute for mine.. Even before that, we simply played cowboys & Indians or Army.. Outside activity's even in winter.. Then I built and launched model rockets ( my first was the mars lander) a friend built a Saturn V it was huge, and was severely under powered, good days those were.. hoosierbass07 Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 I put that Legos United Nations Building together last night. Wow, it took a lot of time. 597 pieces. I started around 9pm and didn't finish till 3:30am. I don't think I would want to put one together every day. lol. It took some effort. But now that it's finished it looks pretty nice. 1 Quote
