Here is a swim bait I've been working on, Golden Shiner is the pattern and it weighes 2oz made of red cedar, med/slow sinker with a nice fishy action.

looks great, that should catch them for sure.

i'm curious why you didn't continue the scale pattern on the 4th piece?

Good question D, the pic of the golden shiner did not have gold scales on the tail.   So I just shot pearl white and light coat of pearl gold.   Looking at the bait now I should have used a heavy coat of pearl gold.

Very nice BIGM! How much time you got invested in that one? I've got one I attempted year's ago that is similar to it. (I'll have to put a pic up sometime). Got it swimming good but I used screw in eye's for joint's and everytime it moved all you heard was clack-clack from the metal banging together. Needless to say I gave up on the 'making my own bait' thing..

Thats not necessarily bad, there is alot of rattle baits out there.
