I'm thinking of trying either InvizX or Sniper 6lb. ~ 8lb. FC line on a Pflueger Presedent #6930 spinning reel ... Anybody use similar size FC line on a #6930 size spinning reel for bass with good performance and no line problems  ?

Ive never ran straight fc on my 6930 but i run 30lb braid with a fc leader always. Im not an expert but i think you could run into issues running straight fc.

I put 6lb FC on a similar sized spinning reel.  I hated it!  The stuff was so springy that it jumped off the spool even with the bail closed.  10-20 lb braid with a FC leader is the key!

Supposedly , InvizX and Sniper in the #6lb. to #8lb. range are designed to be good on a 2500 size (6930) spinning reel ...Hopefully someone has experiences to share .

You shouldn't have too many issues. I've been running 6# FC on a Revo Premier 30 and haven't had any issues with it.

I have been using straight 8# Suffix Invisiline Fluoro on my President 6930 for about a month now without any issues so far.

I tried Sunline Super Sniper 8# on mine and had nothing but trouble. No problem on baitcasters though. I went back to braid with fluorocarbon leader on one and copolymer AN40 on another with no problems.

My preference is 10# braid with leader on a size 30 reel.  I no longer use f/c leaders.

I've used 8# FC for years on my Pfleugers with minimal problems.  As a rule, co-poly is a bit more manageable however.

I have a promo size spool of #6lb. InvizX which I want to try - hopefully below methods will help :

- Use mono backing with about 60 yrds. of FC top coat .

- Under fill reel spool more so than when using mono or braid.

- Use a spooling station to prevent twist

- Use KVD L&L Conditioner

- Close bail by hand manually after casting

All that hassle to use a promo spool? Id rather use what other guys have suggested.

Guess that's why I use braid with flouro leaders.
