long island basser Posted July 12, 2015 Author Posted July 12, 2015 You caught that beast in NY? Sweet! BTW, did anyone here ever mention that you look like a young RoadWarrior? Yes sir, caught on the east end of Long Island, Suffolk county. This is a very, very good bass for my area. While we do have many lakes on Long Island (hundreds) they are all small and most very shallow ( under 10 ft). The largest is only 240 acres. And with 1.5 million people in my county alone most do receive quite a bit of pressure. But after 3 decades of fishing here I have a handfull of these ponds that do produce better and keep these in my rotation. Upstate NY has much better fishing, much, much larger lakes, with bass in greater numbers and size. But I'm not gonna travel 3 to 8 hrs for a days fishing As to your second question, no. But I don't believe anyone here has seen me live and in person Quote
