WilliamMcCabe Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 So I was messing around today, and started throwing this (looks stupid) [/url And it produced this? Thoughts? 3 Quote
gobig Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I am not sure you have anything there thats going to revolutionize bass fishing but I don't think its dumb to experiment. Quote
Shanes7614 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Is that a twist lock frog hook? Where do the hooks come out from? Quote
WilliamMcCabe Posted July 7, 2015 Author Posted July 7, 2015 The hooks come out from the twin tail trailers, lmao. Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted July 7, 2015 Super User Posted July 7, 2015 I agree, it looks stupid.. Nice bass there. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted July 7, 2015 Super User Posted July 7, 2015 Dont quit experimenting . Last year I took the blade off a spinnerbait and replaced it with a curl tail grub. I didnt catch a fish on it , only because I didnt try very long . 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted July 7, 2015 Super User Posted July 7, 2015 Good job! It's a new design. Go ahead and name it while it's still yours. It's amazing what bass will bite the first time they see it. Keep using it. I call it a GRUKE (grub/fluke) 3 Quote
Super User MIbassyaker Posted July 7, 2015 Super User Posted July 7, 2015 Yeah, if it produced, then by definition it's not dumb. First time I saw a worm on a wacky rig, I thought it looked dumb. 1 Quote

Nothing is ever dumb in fishing. Look at the size of OUR brains compared to theirs.... Now who's dumb??? Lol. Consistency is key. There are reasons whacky rigs work as they emulate something in the water a fish will eat. This however I have no idea. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut on occasion. 2 Quote
dead end canal Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 If a human acted like a bass, we'd lock him up for his own safety. Or elect him to office. Or both. 3 Quote
StinkyBass Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I am not sure you have anything there thats going to revolutionize bass fishing but I don't think its dumb to experiment. sometimes experimenting leads to finding the key to your fishing spot! Nice catch, way to keep your mind thinking and thinking outside the box! Quote
Jaderose Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 Experiment + Nice Big Bass in the boat = Not dumb. Rock on. (note to self: Stay away from this weirdo) 1 Quote
Super User Ratherbfishing Posted July 7, 2015 Super User Posted July 7, 2015 If a human acted like a bass, we'd lock him up for his own safety. Or elect him to office. Or both. That's what Illinois did with the last 4 out of 7 governor's. 1 Quote
Super User Felix77 Posted July 7, 2015 Super User Posted July 7, 2015 If stupid produces things like this then count me in !!! Nice bass! 1 Quote
Super User the reel ess Posted July 7, 2015 Super User Posted July 7, 2015 I got another name for it: Undercurl. Huh? huh? Undergrub? Quote
WilliamMcCabe Posted July 8, 2015 Author Posted July 8, 2015 Delaware rig, lmao, as our state doesn't get to much attention for anything Quote
Shanes7614 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Not sure this new bait is gonna put your state on the map quite yet. Lol Quote
royal0014 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Nice bass. Let us know when you consistently catch more on that outfit. 1 Quote
fireandice Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I'd name it "Flub" or "Flubber." And I used to talk smack on my teenage stepson when he would make "ghetto baits" out of a bunch of crap in his box. I stopped making fun, when he outfished me twice in a row. My opinion is that you were throwing something that the bass had never seen before and hadn't been conditioned to ignore. Well played! Quote
Canyon explorer Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Through the years I have often seen bass try to take a bait away from another bass, especially Kentucky bass on dock corners. 1 Quote
Shanes7614 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Through the years I have often seen bass try to take a bait away from another bass, especially Kentucky bass on dock corners. What's that have to do with a name for it? Lol. Are you saying the fluke is trying to eat a grub or the grub is trying to eat the fluke? When he starts posting videos of fish being caught consistently with this then we'll worry about it. Quote
