hatrix Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 You can sell it for a hundred bucks, in case you didn't know. LOL them people make me laugh so mucb. I don't even know what started that but it died down since then. I am not sure what I have spent the most on. Maybe a HPH I think. I have also bought tons of OG 250's for 80-130 ish and that is the most common purchase for expensive baits I guess. By a long shot the most productive and big fish catcher still remains the S-Songs. I think they retail for $60 and probabaly the best swimbaits I have ever bought. Quote

hatrix Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Where are you fishing most of these? There isn't a place I don't fish them. I will throw a swimbait in a puddle if I think it has decent fish in it. Quote

A KGB Operative Posted July 6, 2015 Posted July 6, 2015 20 for a megabass trick dart 80. I catch a decent amount on it in the spring time. Not much use otherwise. Lots of pike as well. 15 for molix lures. Haven't caught jack with them. Unfortunate for sure. Quote

blckshirt98 Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I got a Roman Made Mother but will never catch fish on it because I will never get the balls to throw it. I got it more as a collection piece so to speak, due to my hoarding tendancies. Most expensive lure I've ever caught anything on is probably a simple D&M Piranha Swim Jig - that thing just flat out calls fish to it. Quote
fisherrw Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Hudd 30 bucks Megabass xpop 20 caught a couple on the megabass nothing yet on the hudd... Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 8, 2015 Super User Posted July 8, 2015 Had some HPH baits custom made. Was around $70 per. Fish over three pounds caught is in the dozens. Quote
Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted July 8, 2015 Super User Posted July 8, 2015 Hell, I dont know. How much are the biggest fish of my life worth? All I'm able to pay and then some. I guess the highest I've paid for a bait would probably be a Hinkle Trout at retail. Never caught a fish on that one unfortunately. 1 Quote
Super User gulfcaptain Posted July 8, 2015 Super User Posted July 8, 2015 $100 each for 2 10" Triple Trout swimbaits. Haven't gotten the window to thow them this year with my work schedule and they way the fish were biting I have't really fished any swimbaits this year. But fall is right around the corner. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted July 8, 2015 Super User Posted July 8, 2015 i have a few vision 110's that have never seen the water...... yet...... Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted July 8, 2015 Super User Posted July 8, 2015 If these never fail to catch fish.... Wouldn't they be the only baits you use? Well it's not exactly suited for every cast. Throw it at heavy cover and you're gonna have a bad time. That said, when it's called for it's EXTREMELY hard to beat. Fish really do just absolutely crush them. It's insane how well they work- but I'm still not going to throw it every time! My most expensive is either my 115 Slide Swimmer or my Gan Craft S-Song. Can't remember which but actually I have probably 5 swim/glide baits right in that range. Eeler, iSlide, Killer Compass etc... But to each his own. I work hard so I buy what I want. . I've caught the most on the slide swimmer though. Not even sure how many but trust me... It produces! Quote
Super User RoLo Posted July 8, 2015 Super User Posted July 8, 2015 The most costly lure is the one that goes thru your picture window then lands in your wife's china cabinet. Roger 1 Quote
dcorp Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 probably this pile of deps, but most of those were bought before the hype for around $100 3 Quote

Dogmatic Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 pretty sure the guy that says "pile of deps" wins this most expensive lure argument for the day..... I'll bet Speedbead can match that pile, and raise it some ridiculously expensive baits(though, he may not have paid retail for them). Hinkle alone fetches $500. Quote
stkbassn Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Around $70 for a Triple Trout. I've caught several fish on it but don't use it very often. If I had a boat and more time on the water I would dedicate more time to just fishing it when I went out. Quote
