What's the most you've spent on a single lure, and how many (aproximately) fish have you caught with it?

Megabass X-Pod - I think it was about $32 from a local shop. Not sure how many fish as I don't keep a log anymore. It is my favorite topwater bait by a longshot.

I don't swimbait fish so if I did I would be in trouble on this question. For the swimbait guys probably going to see a lot of $50 to $150 baits.

I think $70 for a Triple Trout is the most I've ever spent.  I have a few other swimbaits around that price but none more than that.  I've not caught anything on the TT but I haven't fished it much yet either.

haha my most expensive lure is probably on many anglers' least expensive lure list :) ...a Yo-Zuri Pins Minnow, bought about 7 years ago for around $8.

Never caught a fish with it, but also never really use it very often.

Yamamato Senkos, kidding, but those things are dang expensive. Seriously though, probably my lucky craft flash minnows, 20 dollars. I use it to catch halibut in the west coast. Caught many on them.

I think the most I have spent was $160 on a deps 250 when they first came out. I try hard to spend as little as I have to but in turn I don't try to flip baits and make a bunch of money. I lost around 20 fish when I first got it before I got everything dialed in and I have caught at least that many since.

$150×3 Deps Slide Swimmer 250s, and 3:16 FS Shad. Approximately a dozen fish between them.Total would be higher, if I fished them more, because they never failed to catch fish. Just wait til the guys with the Hinkles,HP's and other custom swimbaits show up. (I won't feel so bad).

If these never fail to catch fish.... Wouldn't they be the only baits you use?

Nope, too many baits in the arsenal, so the rotation is long. In addition, every lure has its place, or situation. Right now, top water is king, so 3:16 Wake Jr., Black Dog Lunker Plunker, and MS Slammer are tied on. Also, I don't fish swimbaits exclusively.

$200 for a 316 OG Wake. Never caught a d**n thing on it, not even a follow. What a bummer! At least someone bought it from me for $250.

~$200 for an OG Castaic chubby cheeks. Caught only dinks. At least it was a piece of swimbait history tied to the end of my line, and that was pretty cool.

~$150 each for two Derps 250s. Not a lot caught on either of them, but they made up with getting big fish to show themselves.

Most productive baits ever, for both numbers and size, have been the hardgill (gen 2) at ~$70 and the old faithful 8" hudd at ~$25- almost pocket change.

$14 and haven't used it yet. It's a hard, jointed swimbait and toward the bottom of the list as far as cost. I'm sure I'll buy more.

Most expensive? MS Slammers. Most expensive that I use regularly? Megabass Pop Max. Most expensive that slays bass? Tie between LC Gunfish and Duo lipless cranks.

I used to buy Lucky Craft, Jackall, and Spro cranks, jerk baits, and top waters until I got sick of Pike biting them off and discovered that Bandit's, Strike King's,Bomber's, etc....caught just as many, if not more bass for me at 1/2 the price.

Bandits are awesome. I like that Flat Max squarebill up in the flooded timber. And I like Bomber's craw pattern. I liked the Norman's L'il N and DD22 for big waters, but I usually fish ponds nowadays.

$12 for a Live Target frog. Have only caught one fish on it to boot...catch all my frog fish on Booyahs. ;)

I like this because I just bought a Booyah Pad Crasher and a popping Pad Crasher on Amazon and won't get to use them for another week.

Bought a blackdog G2 shellcracker last year for 20 bucks. # of fish 0.

Only tied it on twice, but I enjoy catching bass not just fishing.

I'll stick with "traditional" size lures.

Most I've spent was something around $80 for a Deps Bull Shooter Jr. Only caught 1 on it so far but it's had some big followers. The one step down from that is around $65 for a Deps Slide Swimmer 175. I have 3 with 1 more on the way and they've caught me dozens of fish.

I ended up spending $12 on a LT walking frog.  I've caught fish on it, but it is much more difficult to "walk" than other similar lures I have.

You can sell it for a hundred bucks, in case you didn't know.
