Adleyfishes Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 If they will not bight at all do research or practice off the water. And what I mean if they will not bite is like you have fished for a day or two and only caught like 3 bass! Quote
BASSPATROL247 Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 What i do when they wont bite is i cuss em and make excuses but havent had any luck yet.. Quote

Super User the reel ess Posted July 6, 2015 Super User Posted July 6, 2015 They will always bite for somebody. I can't remember the last tournament I heard of where no one caught a fish. I always think about that Classic on Hartwell where the morning temp was below 10 degrees. People still limited and started out fishing shallow. I don't know how they even felt the rod in their hands. Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted July 6, 2015 Super User Posted July 6, 2015 I just keep trying things until either something works or I run out of time and go home. This is a time when I try a rig that I've been meaning to try but never got around to like the wacky rig. The night I pulled that out it saved me from a skunk. I caught 5 quickly and got the big one of the night. Beer is often involved. And even when you fail you've learned something. X2, less the beer.... Quote
FrogFreak Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I go to the place on the lake that I know holds fish and slow down, downsize and try to stay patient. This is when I rig up a dropshot. Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted July 9, 2015 Super User Posted July 9, 2015 Bass aren't biting I'll fish for another species. I tone down my bass fishing in the warmer months, increase my bass activity in the late fall. Quote
BocaGrande Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Take pictures of the sunrise/sunset and post to instagram lol. Nah, I would usually try different lures, usually smaller size. Go to different areas, try deeper water. If all else fails.. get out the ultra lite and go for panfish! Quote
Super User senile1 Posted July 9, 2015 Super User Posted July 9, 2015 I'm a bit late here so maybe you have already visited the lake, but are you sure the big fish that your Grandparents see are bass? Quote
