The Croix Legend Elite has a reel seat that is very, very good, but with the reel seat and the Torzite guides, the price I was told is going to be between $475 - $525 depending on model.

Figured as much. Those guides are pricey. Do you by chance know if they are going to dip the elite's into the 7'+ market? Id think the 7'4 HF they have in the xtreme would be a huge seller and an amazing jig stick in the elite lineup.

Is anyone concerned that the quality will not be there when booyah takes over xcalibur lures? I'm very scetchy with the idea. That popping pencil by duo realis looks nice.

So what will they do with the Legend Xtremes? Keep the price the same, drop the price to the old elite price, or will they just drop the series?

It was just revamped a couple years ago.. The xtreme isnt going anywhere. It will probably be remade icast2016 based on their past. The legend elites were long over due.

I know it was revamped. I just find it interesting that the elite may be priced more than the xtreme

Torzite guides are ridiculously expensive hence the big jump in price

Honestly, there's no need for Torzite guides for bass fishing.  Salt water fishing using massive braided line (essentially cable) for 50+lb fish?  Yep.  But they're overkill for bass fishing.  It's akin to using a semi to pull your bass boat.

95% of the stuff out there is overkill

I'm pretty much a SK and St. Croix junkie so I'll definitely be getting some stuff. I'm really looking forward to the Tungsten Two Taps and especially the swinging swim jig and buzzbait! I'm also definitely getting one of the new Legend Elites. Hopefully I don't end up too broke when the product comes out!

Glenn, I don't suppose you have an extra pass to Icast laying around. I would love to get in and see this stuff close up!

I read, I believe on the st croix site that the legend elites will be under 425. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's what I read 350 to 425. same blank with the torzite guides but does not have that expensive extreme handle. either way I will definitely be getting one. also interested in the Lews turney pro G. I'm not much for magnesium frames personally so I will probably stick with my team golds and pros that are all aluminum but that pro G looks nice.

Anyone here on the forum going to ICAST tomorrow, Friday, the last day?

I am going for the last 4 hours of the show looking for those cash deals by exhibitors who can't wait to close up shop and get out of there. Sometimes you can get some really good cash only deals just before the show closes.

And so it begins - video after video of one to two minute sales pitches pushing new worms, reels, line, rods, clothing, etc...  And I will watch some too.  After a while though I wish they were a little more creative in their sales pitches.

Probably going to buy an Arashi Walker and a Pompadour Jr regardless. Other stuff, I'll decide after I see reviews and on the water experiences. I like the looks of a lot of the new rods; lots of new options at several pricepoints.

I'll also buy some SV spools if they drop into OG Zillions.
