I've heard people talking about golden bass or golden black bass etc. Before but i dont know what they mean. I've also seen a youtube video where someone caught a bass and said it was a golden bass. Is there such thing as a golden bass or golden black bass etc? If so how rare are they and are they actually a species or just an "albino" bass?

Any bass over 9 pounds is "GOLD".

Over 12 pounds, that's "PLATINUM"

They're largemouth that have beeen in deep and/or cold water long enough to lose their dark green coloration. When they return to the shallows around the spawn, they'll turn green again.

Golden bass are rare and are hidden in five lakes around North America. If you find one you win a tour of BASS HQ.

It's just a Google search, not a quest, lol.
