I have been using SpWire Fluro 15lb and really like it. It is very strong and it allows me to punch the hook into fish that other wise I would break off on the hook set. Anyone else have a good experience with this line?

I've used neither Spwire or Spiderwire fluoro and have no intentions to.

15 lb flouro is my go to line when I am pitching t-rigs around light cover and open water. I do not use spiderwire. Not the greatest experience with it. I prefer Seaguar Invisix. Red label is good too if money is an issue.

I have not used what you asked about.

I used 15# Invisex for a few years until I tried 16# Sniper.

Have no plans to switch to anything else.

15# should be sufficient for most applications, but for the real heavy stuff I'll go 17-20.

I would like to further add to this statement that is that I'll usually use it as a leader as 90% of my reels have 30-50lb braid.

I pretty much use 16lb FC Sniper for everything. I love that stuff and have no intentions of trying anything else except maybe tatsu

I just switched back to 15lb Seaguar Abrazx.  Like it better than braid.

I've had Tatsu 25# break off on me on heavy hooksets many times.. hard to believe 15# Spiderwire would be any better

I have heard waaaaay too many bad things about spiderwire FC, random breaks, impact breaks, etc. Too many great options out there to settle, if you want another purefishing brand, trilene 100% pro grade FC is fantastic. The other brands people have mentioned are good too.

I see this brand in Wal Mart all the time but never tried to use it, Ive used Berkley Vanish, FC Sniper, Stren Flourocast and Seaguar Invizx. The Seagaur Invizx seem to be the best out of the group to me. But hey if Spiderwire Flouro works for ya, great, have at it man.

Isn't this the same line you have a problem with snapping with your hook set? Setting the hook as hard as you can was and should still be an old school mentality as flouro and braids being used today have way less stretch then the monofilament line used years ago. Guys got used to such a hard hook set to eleviate the amount of stretch in mono.

Spiderwire is pure junk. If you like it, just wait until you try a good fluoro!

15# is my favorite all-around fluoro. Works for about anything.

I would say if you like it and are happy with it its a winner..

I was using Berkley Vanish 17# for my T rigs. I really liked how sensitive it was and hooksets were easier than even 20# mono. But after hearing everyone else's negative opinion of it, and given that it was years old, I switched it out for braid. I can't stop worrying about it after seeing how it deforms when you tie a knot. I was probably still OK because it was 17#. But I imagined it would let me down when I needed it most.

FC Sniper or Seaguar InvizX both quality FC....Sniper a little less memory! My personnel opinion :)
