Swamp Gas Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 If you lived nearby I'd come over and rip it out for you - I'm immune to the stuff. But let me re-emphasize: DO NOT, DO NOT, DO NOT burn it. Anybody that smoke touches will be itching. Round-up is da bomb. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted June 29, 2015 Author Super User Posted June 29, 2015 Well nuts, I'll be going thru the eastern part. Yeah wrong side lol. I tried looking for round up poison ivy but all they had was regular weed and grass would this work? Quote

Super User Team9nine Posted June 29, 2015 Super User Posted June 29, 2015 When looking at formulations or products to kill poison ivy, check the active ingredients label. The chemical you want to see listed is Triclopyr. Frequently this is in combination with glyphosate (RoundUp) or some other proprietary compound. Doesn't really matter what the secondary compound is. Often products containing Triclopyr will be listed as heavy brush and vine killers, not just weed killers. Get the right stuff and kill it completely the first time. -T9 1 Quote
Nice_Bass Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 I would also add that after you get rid of it you need to put something down so you don't just have to do it again. A little landscaping goes a long way to prevent it from coming back. Quote
Super User fishinfiend Posted June 30, 2015 Super User Posted June 30, 2015 Step 1- pour hot bacon grease on it Step 2- invite Raider's mama and lady friend over Step 3- sit back and watch in amazement as they graze through that patch in a matter of minutes Quote

Super User J Francho Posted June 30, 2015 Super User Posted June 30, 2015 Don't burn it, the smoke is not to breathe if you're allergic. Roundup is generally what use. Kills all plants. Quote
Super User Master Bait'r Posted June 30, 2015 Super User Posted June 30, 2015 Fire, I love to get rid of things via fire. Only do this if you want poison ivy inside your lungs and throat. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted July 8, 2015 Super User Posted July 8, 2015 I hear Raider is chasing money. Perfect job for him. Raider, isn't allergic to poison ivy anymore. Also, I aint going to New York until next spring. I believe I'm about to head to Flint, Michigan for a couple weeks. Then possibly Milwaukee or Atlanta. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 If you head to Milwaukee. Do not mouth of to any one, or do any thing stupid. You will get shot. The gang bangers here, are not like the big city gang bangers. They will shoot you for any thing. Just a heads up. We have open carry here, and we honor Bama's cc. Make sure you bring a pistol with you if you head there. We also have a castle law now. So you will be safe if any thing hits the fan. Quote
