Since recently purchasing my Bass Tracker my Guest 8 amp charger has died.  Checked all the fuses and this was the original, so it was only a matter of time.  I am having a hard time trying to find another Guest 8 amp charger online.   I wanted to get the same size so I do not have to predrill any holes.  Many of the newer charges are larger and heavier.  Any recommendations?

Check with Tracker Marine. If there is a Bass Pro Shop near you, you could also check with them at their parts counter.  On another note, I have a 2005 Tracker and the original charger is still doing it's job on my two trolling motor batteries and I fish an electric only lake twice a week.  I'm not trying to steer you away from getting another Guest 8, but I'd rather drill a couple of holes in the bracket than purchase the same brand of charger that failed me. MinnKota chargers receive nothing but five star reviews and they have great customer service. The reason I know is my neighbor has the same exact boat and changed to a three bank one about five seasons ago.  He checked out every brand out there and of course, I got an earful about replacing mine.

Papajoe - I appreciate your advice.  I looked at the Minnkota and they are by far the largest in size and the heaviest, which I'm sure is a good thing.  However,  the models I looked at could not fit in the space where it was designed in my boat.  I ended up ordering a Noco Genius Gen2 2 8 amp 2 bank due to the size and weight being similar to what I had in the boat previously.  You can not find the Guest 8 amp's out there anymore and if you do they are expensive and are not the same size as the one that died on me.  As you said, why buy the same thing if it already failed once.  I even called bass pro shops and the service guy said chargers can die after 1 year or last forever.  It's hit or miss sometimes...

Hope this new charger delivers!
