Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted June 24, 2015 Super User Posted June 24, 2015 Just drug up my sweltering powerhouse job. Heading to a 3 week outage in Louisville. Old lady is coming with me. Between the 2 of us it should net us 15 to 18 grand for 3 weeks worth of work. Not a shabby payday if I do say so myself. Any Brother electricians on here wanna come too? Any members on here up around that way wanna go fishing after my three weeks work is finished, drop me a line. Except Clayton. For he doubts my fishing. Quote

Super User Fishing Rhino Posted June 25, 2015 Super User Posted June 25, 2015 The folks in Louisville say, "THANKS FOR THE WARNING!" Hey, while you're there, go to the Louisville Slugger factory. You might find something you can use for defense against ladles. 1 Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted June 25, 2015 Super User Posted June 25, 2015 Unlike bama, kentucky now frowns upon brother/sister marriages..just a heads up. 2 Quote

Just remember that the lowlifes all pronounce the name of that city with a silent "S". Rise above the crowds and say it the way it's spelled! Quote
Super User F14A-B Posted June 25, 2015 Super User Posted June 25, 2015 Ride your Harley, wear a southern battle flag bandana, ride thru Mohammed Ali & the west side & get shot at by spray & pray gangbangers.. Or, simply show up @ Jays restraunt & get shot at anyway.. Clarksville to Louisville = 8 to 12 min After you get across the Kennedy bridge & depending on where in the city your going.. Bare in mind, they are building a new bridge & it's quite a mess, but it's running smooth enough. 1 Quote

Rise above the crowds and say it the way it's spelled! Just like a Yankee trying to tell a southerner how to pronounce the name of a southern town. Been there many times it's Lewieville unless you want labeled as a yank. How do you pronounce Arkansas? Arkansaw or the way it's spelled? Quote
Crappiebasser Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 On behalf of all Alabamians, thank you! Quote
Super User Redlinerobert Posted June 25, 2015 Super User Posted June 25, 2015 During my trip a few years back I found out it was Missoura real fast. Quote
Super User Raider Nation Fisher Posted June 25, 2015 Author Super User Posted June 25, 2015 On behalf of all Alabamians, thank you! The Walmarts sell booze here!!! Plus there ain't a sin tax like down home in Bama. Biggest plus it ain't 110 degree heat index during the day either. Quote

Todd2 Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 I've lived here for about 25 years. It's LOU-AH-VUL or LOUIE-VILLE. Any variation with a 'S' would be a clear sign that you're a clueless Yankee trying to ask directions to the nearest Meijer. Quote
