DFrench97 Posted June 22, 2015 Posted June 22, 2015 Bass season FINALLY arrived so I headed up to Balsam Lake to nail some smallies. Caught a good number of fish theses being the best. By far my best season opener I've ever had and first season opener I've fished on Balsam. Also have never caught a SMB on opener day so I feel I'm off to a great start! 5 Quote

Super User lmbfisherman Posted June 23, 2015 Super User Posted June 23, 2015 Good catches! I'm in Zone 16, so I have to wait until this weekend... Quote

olegs Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Nice catches! We were on Balsam on Saturday too. We caught only 9 SMB, 1 - 3.5 lb., and missed one 5 pounder beside a boat. Most fish were caught on Ned rig and Wacky Senko. 2 Quote
OntarioFishingGuy Posted June 26, 2015 Posted June 26, 2015 Nice fish! Zone 16 opener this weekend, but with all the rain the rivers are gonna be super muddy. Quote

Yeah I was going to hit the local lake rain or shine, but then my car broke down. So I couldn't get out! I've been waiting almost 7 months for this!!! Ah oh well, bass season is here...just have to fish more to compensate. Quote
