Scotty58 Posted June 20, 2015 Posted June 20, 2015 I was just curious as to what if any difference there is between the jika rig and a wobble head jig head? I use the wobble head but have heard more of the jika rig lately. To me they seem to be the same rig just different components. Essentially its just a weight that allows the hook to move freely. Just want your opinions. Thanks! Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted June 21, 2015 Super User Posted June 21, 2015 With the jika rig, the bait is separate from the weight. With the wobble head (I'm assuming that you mean a Biffle Bug style bait) the weight is still in front of the bait. I'm assuming because there is a different marketed jig head called the "wobble head" for use with different swimming worms. Quote
Scotty58 Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 Yeah I'm just used to calling them wobble heads haha sorry Quote
Tim Kelly Posted June 21, 2015 Posted June 21, 2015 They're very similar, though the jika tends to be a finesse presentation and a swing head more of a power presentation. Personally I tend to use "cheburaska" heads with whichever hook is appropriate for either type of presentation. Quote
