Having read all of the above posts, I will be trying to set up some firm dates for each of the trips within the next few days.

Mike, Toledo Bend is HOT right now.  Not the fishing as much as the temp.  Just checked the weather here and it said 104 and feels like 120.  I think i will nap til 5 or so.

I'm in Indianapolis and I would love to make it to Kentucky Lake. The resort Long Mike talked about looks fabulous.

The following are the dates for the Road Trips:

Toledo Bend - The Jack Yates Classic -  Arrive Wednesday March 23rd, depart Monday March 28.

We will be staying at the Fin & Feather Resort.  Five rooms have been blocked in the motel.  There are cabins available, but the available beds are limited.

Kentucky Lake - Arrive Wednesday April 27th, depart Monday May 2nd.

We will be staying at Moors Resort and Marina.  Two cabins and five rooms at the Lodge have been blocked.  The cabins will sleep four heterosexual men each.  There are other cabins also available.

Each person must make their own reservation.  When making the reservation you MUST mention that you are with the Bass Resource group.

You may stay a longer or shorter period of time than the dates shown above.  If you need a roommate post it on this forum.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing old friends again, and most importantly, making new ones!

As mentioned in previous posts, you do not need a boat to attend.  No one will be left standing on the bank.

Is there gonna be a day where a big get together happens like during the weekend?

Nearly 100% sure that I will be at Kentucky Lake, and 80% sure that the War Dept. will be tagging along.  Tentative plans would be to arrive on Saturday 4/23 and depart for home on Sunday 5/1.

If I'm there, I will have a boat and will have a seat(s) available at least three of the four days 4/27 to 4/30.

We always have a group gathering on Saturday evening.  It's usually held at an off-site restaurant.  I'll make reservations after I get a firm head-count.

In addition to the 'Big' event.......we gather together each night and shoot the bull. Last year we ate dinner together....sometimes breakfast together....even ate lunch together a couple of times. It is informal and a great time! We just play it by ear a lot.......it's great!

I can't tell you how great it really is......I may very well enjoy this more than the fishing!

Don't get me wrong....the fishing is great too. But we forge new friendships and reinforce existing friendships with these conversational get togethers. We talk about the days fishing. We talk about this and that. We laugh and joke......it's like you have been friends all your life.

The whole trip will be great!

Booked into F&F for Wednesday thru Sunday. Not sure on the Mrs. right now but hopeful she will attend as well. Anybody sitting on the fence better jump in on this trip. It's a flipping (literally) bass paradise! Hoping last years attendees will be present!

Planning on attending Kentucky Lake. I've seen and heard that craw fish are red there and maybe have a hint of blue/red flake. Also, I've seen paca craws with a color called Kentucky Special. Finally, I've read that purple with green pumpkin is a good color for Kentucky Lake. Does anyone else have experience with color knowledge for baits to use at the lake?

I will be there for the toledo trip for that saturday. Ill be driving up the morning of. Is the launch from fin and feather?

Being a teacher, I have to say no to both :( Being from Ohio, the Kentucky lake would be great, but our spring break is early April so I won't be able to go.  Need to do a summer one, I know when the bass bite is a little harder. LOL

My boy and myself are going to try and make it to Kentucky Lake. We were fishing over the weekend and he asked if we could go on another road trip.
