Nice cat! I'm a recovering Flathead addict. I've got hundreds of dollars in gear never used, plus the used stuff.

Channels, blues, and bullheads will put the clamps on you bad. My uncle got his hand and wrist broke by a 70lb blue when it clamped on his hand, shook and rolled.

That's a respectable channel cat, looks like cutbait? I should be fishing for them more than I am with all the high water, but the bass are up in the flooded stuff and I love flipping!

Didn't catch my first one until recently when I used powerbait and worms fishing for stocked trout. My bait was floating 6ft from the bottom and I had let it sit for 30 minutes and was reeling it in. It felt heavy and I figured I had snagged a fairly big branch. It turned out to be a 2lb catfish. Now I know where those guys live... buhahahaha

Nic Channel cat. I don't think I have gone over 6lbs on a channel.
