This weekend I'm going to bps, I'm going to get a ghost. What rod should i get for just and all-around rod? 7' MH or 7'3" heavy? I mostly fish bottom baits.

I'm thinking of getting a 6.4:1, ill mostly be flipping smaller jigs and t-rigs around brush and docks.

Really can't go wrong honestly. I like Daiwa and Lew's. A Type R or Tournament would serve you well.

Or you could always get a Duckett reel to match your rod ;)

Tatula online. Go to bps and try one (or all of them for that matter!) on the rod before purchasing one that YOU like the best.

I finally bought my first ghost in 7'3" MHF last week and I've been fishing jigs and texas rigged craws around heavy cover and so far it has lived up to my expectations. I have it paired with a Lew's Speed Spool LFS 6.8:4 and I highly recommend it.

I've been using the 7' mh ghost for awhile now and if your going to be using baits over 1/2oz you may want to consider the heavy action. As for reels I have mine paired with a lews speed spool ss1hl in 6.4 ratio and it's able to do just about anything I need it to do. Have been impressed with lews reels so far and would buy several more if they had the speed spool models in higher ratio lefty models.
