Heron Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 Boy that thing sure is looking great. Might have to add that to my once-a-year wish list. Quote

jh3984 Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 I had a pack of these for 6 months(8.5" Watermelon Blue Gill) buried in my plastics. Never even tried them until about two weeks ago. I finally decided to try one on a small clear lake that is highly pressured with spooky Bass. I put it on a vmc swingin rugby head jig 3/8. Pitched it out just off cover and before it hit bottom it was engulfed. The next five casts were the same and resulted in 6 Bass within 5-10 minutes. Size wasn't worth bragging about. The largest being 2 1/2lbs. Normally at this lake 6 Bass would be a good in a two hour time span. They just couldn't resist. The action is amazing and the tail really displaces water. So the next time I went to my favorite spot on another small lake I rigged it weightless with a 6.0 hook and ripped it across the top. Caught a nice 3lber on first cast. Second cast I was burning a little to fast and just missed a huge blowup. Whenever I miss on a topwater lure I always have another rod rigged with either a creature bait or a swim jig to cast out immidiatley after the miss. This has worked for me 70-80% of the time. The trailer I had on my swim jig needed changed. I took a torn up wild thang cut the tail only off and attatched the tail to my swimbait. First cast I landed a solid 5lb er. Second and third casts I pitched to a grass edge and almost as soon as it hit the water... WHAM! These last two pitches landed me a 4 and a 5 1/2 lb er. They were not messing around. The action on the tail is by far the best I have ever seen. These plastic worms are absolutely amazing 10/10. Quote
