Anything with a sturdy frame and good drag that feel good in your hands will work. You don't need anything too specific here. That's the one application where I can tolerate mag only braking, otherwise I prefer centrifugal brakes.

As soon as my chronarch ci4+ gets back from DVT with its carbontex drag it will be on permanant flippin/pitchin duty!

Right now my chronarch 51e is on flippin duty with solid results

Personal favorite is Tatula Type R 8:1.  There are a lot of good strong options on the market now and DVT covered what counts.

Shimano CA-200 w/hawgtech handle and Winn knobs.  ABEC 5 Ceramic hybrid spool bearings and Carbontex drag :)  It's old but I still like it just for this stuff!  Love that Instagage bar!

I've been using a zillion 50th anniversary with a tdz100m spool.  It's built like a tank and can pitch really well.  I also use my tdz r+, td ito and curado 51e for pitching.  I like a sturdy frame and a spool that's light, shallow and starts up fast for more accurate and low trajectory pitches that land softly.

Surprised no one has said this yet: The Shimano Metanium XG is the perfect flipping reel IMO.

I just got one from japan and looking forward to giving it a try.
