Not usually just one, but 3-4 of them. Is it from casting or snapping heavy lures? God forbid its from catching too big of fish which is not usually a problem Quote

I've never seen guides on my rods bent from anything but my mistakes, like those already mentioned. There is one more that can easily bend guides, and that is improperly taking multiple piece rods apart. I would think improper stowing could bent 2 or 3 guides in a row. Jerking on wind knots could bend a guide. Probably not the Bigfoot. Quote

As DVT said taking them in and out of the rod locker and hitting the top of the hole or trying to put 2 in the same hole? Smashing them down when tying a bunch together with a rod wrap? Mike Quote

Mike So many times I have bent guides moving rods. I am not careless with my stuff but if I can move these 10 rods in 1 trip I am doing it. I can't be bothered with makin multiple trips.
