I don't own a Kistler.  I do own 3 Tatulas.  One is the 7'2" MHR.  I like it a lot.  Nice looking rod that is light and is pretty sensitive too.  It was the first Tatula rod I bought....hence why I bought 2 more.  :teeth:

Could kick myself for not buying the 7'4" HF when Walmart was selling them for $114 and change.  :cry3:

I've got the same Tatula 7'2" MHR rod.   I also have one of the older Alton Jones Magnesium cranking rods.  It is composite though, I don't think it compares to the new Mag rods.  I like both rods a lot, for what it's worth.

I think I will get the Tatula rod and pair it with my Type R.

I have two Tatulas and one Kistler Helium. I'm pretty sure the Helium is a better rod than the Magnesium. One Tatula is a 7' ML-R. the Kistler is a 7' ML-mod fast. Very comparable in terms of power, action, weight and sensitivity. When I have room for only one of these, I take the Tatula.

My second Tatula rod was the 7' MLR.  :teeth:

I've been considering a KLX the past year since a lot of people think so highly of this model calling it the absolute best in its price range.  A friend thinks the blank is over-rated so I have held back.  I remember the flurry over all the Dobyns models.  The best thing since sliced bread.  It wasn't until about 2 years after they came out that some people started admitting that if you wanted a sensitive rod, there were better options than the Savvy in that price range.
