Strothman Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I'm not looking to rip off Mr. Moore with his beaver patent, like the many posts we have all seen trying to build his baits. People are always trying to copy his baits, and they always want to copy the body of the bait and then put a different tail on them. In my opinion, I'm more concerned about a slim profile tail like his baits have. BassTackle makes a BT bomb, but you only get the choice of the big size or the smaller. Any suggestions on a "Beaver" style bait with a slimmer tail profile? Quote
a1712 Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Lure Craft has a 4.5" Beaver that looks to have a thinner tail profile. It's a Do-It mold, good price too. Brian. Quote
sarcazmo Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 I've got the 3.75 and 4.5 BT bomb molds and love them dearly! If you scour around you can find them. Angling innovations offers a pretty cool beaver mold called "The Stinger' that looks awesome as well. Enforcer baits has a cool 4in beaver style mold as well! Quote

My dad is a machinist, and without access to a mill where we can do what we like to call "Government Jobs" its a pain in the ass. Let alone, the materials almost cost as much as some of the molds you can buy. Quote

I hadn't seen the 4.2 BT bombs, I looked em up and found a few used ones but they were old posts...we would like to purchase a 4 cavity if anybody has one for sale Quote
sarcazmo Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Frequent the other forums. Every once and a while you'll see one for sale. The reason you don't see them on bass tackle anymore is because yum bought the design. Quote

So they are just selling the rest of what they have built or did they just buy rights to the one size? Quote
