It's easy to go through $60 in plastics in a good weekend, nobody bats an eye at that. I've caught dozens of fish on my Slammers and they're ready to catch dozens more. So if you look at cost efficiency, they're pretty cheap. Fishing them on 20lb or heavier line with no pike or muskie here, it could last a long, long time.

Clayton, if you can go through $60 in plastics in a day, then you need to start using Z-Man baits. :laugh5:

Not really expensive in the realm of swimbaits

its alot to me, I dont have much money to spare after "life" every week. Its the most ive dropped on a lure yet. But i work hard and i have many more (and more expensive) in mind for the upcoming months. Thinking triple trout next.....sent of course via USPS

(rage tail, yamamoto, and anything with japanese print on part of the package)

I do use then a lot, but all the Senko fanatics will plop down $7 a bag for a plastic Sharpie marker, that tear after a fish or two, but a big hunk of wood that will last years is out of the question :)

Chalk it up to a learning experience. Do however ride UPS until it gets sorted out and they make it right: even if that means the driver having to go back and retrieve your package from this woman.

Next time, whether it is UPS or USPS or any other carrier make sure that you insist on "signature upon delivery". No signature no delivery. You don't have to be the one to sign for it unless you specify it that way. At least you'll have a better idea of who to find for your package if things go south again.

Please make it easy for yourself and call whoever sent it and ask them to send another. They should send you another no problem and then deal with this on their end. The consumer shouldn't have to deal with this.

He only got the 7" and it'll run you $40. That's 6 bags of gycb senkos. 2 spools of 832 braid,5 Rapala's or 6 strike king cranks. It's about entry level as far as cost is concerned for a hard bait.

My apologies. I thought I read 7" might of been a different thread. Either way my comparison wasn't far off.

I have a very few amount of swimbaits that I use on occasion and one of the things I have also noticed is that they usually don't get hung up as much as you think and when they do they are very easy to get unhung with a plug knocker. So you are paying $60+ for a bait that can last many years of fishing is a pretty good deal.

I'll admit that I'm weary of throwing my hardgill in waters with toothy fish. Not so much because of the cost, but replacing it would be tough. They're hard to find for sale. Nobody seems to let go of them. There's a good reason though.

On durability, on another website, there is a "How old is your Slammer" thread, where in, some guys have Slammers that are over 15 yrs old!(Money well spent).

Had this happen to me when I ordered a refurbished MacBook Pro direct from Apple and shipped to an Apple store. UPS delivered it to a house rather than the only Apple store in the mall. Never saw it. 3 months later, I received my refund and had to purchase a brand new MBP that cost me around $1,500 more than what I originally paid for the one refurbished MBP I wanted.

Put up flyers around the block like a missing dog. Offer a $10,000 reward for its safe return. Who ever returns it is obviously the one who stole so they don't deserve a reward. l

That's awesome. And yes I just watched it the other day. I don't care what anyone says that is a great movie and it still makes me laugh after seeing who knows how many times. A total classic all the way.

UPDATE:

My black beauty finally showed up today. The package had been opened and sent back to cali(took 4 days). They didnt know where it was in those 4 days as the tracking stopped when it was "delivered". Then TW assumed i sent it back and refunded my money without notifying me via phonecall, so when i checked my email later i realized it. But, its here and thats all that matters now! I love it, I caught my first slammer fish today(3.5lbs).

P.s. A sig. was required for this package this time, but the guy just hopped out, handed it to me, and drove off...
