Which do you prefer? If you use a specific line can you elaborate which one and on what type of reel, etc and why?

I have always been a P-Line guy but got a spool of Sufix elite for my spinning reel and I really like it. I might change out all my line to Sufix in the next few weeks on my baitcasters.

Sufix Siege & Sufix Elite are both copolymer nylon lines,

but P-line CX is a "cofilament" line (nylon line with a fluorocarbon sheath).

For a fair comparison, the P-line CX should be substituted with CXX (another copolymer line).

For casting gear I'd go with Sufix Siege (a wiry line),

for spinning gear I'd go with Sufix Elite (less memory).

I chose Siege because it's the only line in the list I'll use.  I don't use it for bass fishing, thoguh.  It's on my centrepins for trout and salmon.  I use 6-12# sizes, and prefer the bright orange color so I can see my drift.

I compared Siege to P-Line CX on my bait casters. The P-Line won hands down.

I'm pretty sure the Elite is used for spinning reels. It's more limp and does stretch more then Siege and CX.

I like Siege.  Especially the Neon Tangerine for visibility.  The first Sufix line I used was Elite.  Still have the same line on my 50th Anniversary Zillion.

Siege coils on the water after sitting awhile, but it hasn't caused loose coils on the reel for the first few casts like Big Game has for me.  Both straighten out after getting good and wet.

EDIT:  My first baitcast reel got 8# P-Line CX.  I liked it until it broke....down in the spool.  Further thought has me believing it was probably caused from backlashes while learning to cast.  I would be willing to give it another shot.
