Super User webertime Posted June 9, 2015 Super User Posted June 9, 2015 I've got the 735. It's pretty nice... Not enough time for a conclusion yet, but so far I have no complaints. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted June 9, 2015 Super User Posted June 9, 2015 You mean they're now up on TW. They've been available for purchase for almost 3 weeks now. I'll be getting a 705cb delivered soon. Quote

*Hank Posted June 9, 2015 Author Posted June 9, 2015 Ya that`s what I meant...TW is just about the only site I look at. Quote

FlipSide Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Gotta broaden your search horizons buddy. You could of had one already. And some other sweet deals, TW rarely has things on sale. Other retailers do quite often 1 Quote
Super User webertime Posted June 10, 2015 Super User Posted June 10, 2015 How is it compared to the Savvy? With a reel mounted and just sitting around with it, they feel very similar. The Fury definitely has a faster action. Both cast about the same, and if the rain ever stops and fish hits the baits I'll tell you about that. Quote
SNK Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Unless someone on the forum knows for sure, I ended up dropping an email to Dobyn's asking about the guides on the Fury series. Will post their response when I get it. Quote
Super User webertime Posted June 10, 2015 Super User Posted June 10, 2015 I can get the full specs. I'll post when I get them. Quote
Super User webertime Posted June 16, 2015 Super User Posted June 16, 2015 The guides are built by this company: http://sea-guide,com http://sea-guide.com/product-category/categories/hero-hi-grade-guides/ Quote
SNK Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Even though other posts above have indicated the correct guides, I did say I would post Dobyns answer back to me, so here it is... The brand name of the guide we are using on the Fury rods are called Sea guides. The are very common guide used on a lot of the rods in the Fury price range. We are using a tangle free guide frame, similar to what we are using on all of our other series of rods. Let us know if you have any questions. Thanks Richard Dobyns Dobyns Rods. Quote
shawnmc Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Have the 735. Love it so far. Fae exceeds the Veritas and Ghosts I have owned. I prefer it to the *** Black I have slightly, the handle being a big reason. I was surprised at just how sensitive it is. Quote

shawnmc Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 How is the sensitivity vs the ***?Its hard to say. I have medium *** I have used for light plastics and spinnerbaits. The Fury has been used for pitching with 50lb braid. I will say the sensitivity of the Fury was a welcome surprise. I wouldn't hesitate to get another. 1 Quote
