*Hank Posted June 10, 2015 Author Posted June 10, 2015 Exo 100 for me. I have 5 now, just a great casting reel and a pleasure to turn the handle. I have pixy type r, zillion, mgx, tatula type r, chronarch 50/200 E's, Calcuttas, scorpion 1000xt, t3 1016's, energys, patriarch and the list goes on, lol. But....the exo is my go to nowadays. I would've never expected it but give it a try. Might be surprised. I will be getting a metanium soon so it might get trumped! Ive never been a fan of quantum I'm surprised you would favor it above all those. Quote

I would've never expected it but give it a try. Might be surprised. I will be getting a metanium soon so it might get trumped! I'm a bit surprised as well although I suppose I shouldn't be considering how well I like my Primmus, and we all know that Pinnacle isn't a brand getting a lot of love for its reels. I've compared it to several tuned reels from Shimano and Diawa plus several factory reels and, like you with the Exo, I find I enjoy using it a lot. Like you said, "just a great casting reel and a pleasure to turn the handle". Like the old adage goes, "Love is where you find it." Quote
Kidflex Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Don't get me wrong, I love my shimanos and daiwas. Will never stop using them but my exo's get used way more now. Might be a phase. Idk but until I get issues with them, they are first string! Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted June 10, 2015 Super User Posted June 10, 2015 All of them. Zonda 68 Steez with SV spool New Alphas SV PX68 X2 SS SV JDM Zillion Tatula 1 Quote
robster80 Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 also wanna add my scorpion xt1000. looks like i need to try a chronarch 50 e too 1 Quote
Super User FishTank Posted June 11, 2015 Super User Posted June 11, 2015 My Shimano Core 101Mg is my favorite. I have beat this reel up and it just keeps going. A close second though is my Shimano Chronarch 51e. This little reel cast a mile and is powerful as well. My all time favorite, that I miss dearly, Shimano Calais 201A. Heavy but still the smoothest reel I have ever used. Quote
Super User Jrob78 Posted June 11, 2015 Super User Posted June 11, 2015 All of them. Zonda 68 Steez with SV spool New Alphas SV PX68 X2 SS SV JDM Zillion Tatula Nice Daiwa collection. Today mine is my 15 Conquest 200, it's subject to change though. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted June 11, 2015 Super User Posted June 11, 2015 Nice Daiwa collection. Today mine is my 15 Conquest 200, it's subject to change though. Those are a sweet looking reel. No one in my area that I know uses any high end gear. It's all your typical big box store reels. So I've never had the chance to try a nice Shimano. I've owned the CU51E and CH51E but they did not do it for me. I have no idea why people rave about them. Anyhow I'd love to try out an Exsence,Aldebaran,Metanium,Antares, ect Quote
thehooligan Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 My all time favorite will always be the Conquest 51 shallow special. One of the coolest reels ever made. My ktf bfs xg and yumeya spool alde mg7 are also favorites. Ive been messing around with more daiwas & megabass reels lately, but the shimano 50 series reels are the best palming reels ever made !! 1 Quote
Ima Bass Ninja Posted June 11, 2015 Posted June 11, 2015 Daiwa t3mx I Got from a friend while I was in Japan. I plan on looking at the new alphas on this years trip. Quote
kingmotorboat Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 My 13 *** easily. I pick that over my lews my type r Attila and my quantum. I will say I'm getting a okuma cerros here soon I'm excited for Quote
ibobpeb Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Lew's Team Pro Z TLP1SHZL I love it even more because it was $100 off the $299 retail price brand new. Casts smoother and has longer distance than my Shimano reels. Quote
Adleyfishes Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I am buying a Piscifun 11bb. Will this reel be nice? Quote
desmobob Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 My Daiwai PX Type-R... I love all my reels and it would be unfair to pick a favorite! But since I went way, way over my budget when I bought the PX-R, I feel obligated to pick that one. And it is a pretty darn nice reel! But I'm extremely happy with my two Lew's TPs and two Daiwa Tatulas. Tight lines, Bob Quote
jtharris3 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 It used to be my Shimano Citica, now I have to say my Lews Speed Spool is my favorite reel. Quote
tnt2671 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 i like them all but my scorpion xt1001's and my core101 are my keepers. Quote
War Eagle 44 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I'll have to go with my Chronarch 101B. Great classic from Shimano. It's even better now that I acquired a Yumeya finesse spool for it! Quote
WdyCrankbait Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 My Quantum EXO 100 PT for sure. But, my Lew's Tournament Lite is a close second. Quote
hawkoath Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 and tend to use spinning reels a little more often than I probably should. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted June 14, 2015 Super User Posted June 14, 2015 I like all of mine, so you could say they are all favorites. If a new reel is not a "fav", I get rid of it. Mine are all Daiwa with one Abu Record. Quote
Super User buzzed bait Posted June 14, 2015 Super User Posted June 14, 2015 Chronarch Ci4+ in the 7.5:1 or my Lew's TP 7.1:1 Quote
