What line do you use for bladed jigs? Just curious, I'm not very knowledgeable on bladed jigs.

Always used fluoro, but for $$ sake, I use 15lb yo zuri hybrid.

I usually use 16lb FC Sniper. 12lb Pline CXX works well too I just prefer Fluorocarbon.

I'm just confused because the Chatterbait package says "For better action, use braid". When fishing one on braid, would you go straight braid ir leader?

I fish them with 12lbs copolymer line and the wife fishes them with 30lbs braid and depending on the clarity of the water will use a 10lbs copolymer leader.

I also go with 50# braid. The waters I fish are never crystal clear so I really don't worry about the fish seeing the line. I've also used 15# CXX in the past and it's great as well.

Another reason I never worry about using straight braid is because I'm always fishing my jigs in or very close to grass. Ideally I want it to make contact with some form of cover at least half of the entire retrieve.

I'm going to re-write that for them and say "to feel the action of your chatterbait better, use braid".

I use two types of line... for light grass and just about any cover I go between 16lb-20lb sniper.  For heavy grass I use 70lb braid (daiwa samurai).  If I'm concerned about visibility of line I will put on a leader of 15-20lb fluoro.

The other option I will go with if I'm kind of being lazy is just 15 lb mono.

I fish the micro size on #8 yo zuri hybrid, I'm also fishing it in pretty open water targeting grass that's 8-10 feet underwater.
