What is your preference for spinning reels?  I cannot seem to keep line twists out even with a spinshot dropshot hook and using high quality fluoro.  I have just recently switched to braid with fluoro leader and I love it.

Braid + Leader always.

Not necessarily fluorocarbon though I

do use it. Mostly copoly leader.

I like braid on a spinning reel but also use a copolymer Silver Thread AN40 with no line twists. I've had no luck with fluoro because I always seem to get line twists with it.

For drop shot, go with braid and a leader. Braid is more sensitive and line twist isn't as noticeable.

I used to fish straight fluorocarbon but now will never go back to fishing without the braid backing on my spinning gear. The braid makes the setup more sensitive, and casts better than fluorocarbon. I also find braid much easier to work with and less prone to tangling and wind knots (and easier to untangle). Braid is also not only more cost effective than fluoro but I also find I have to respool much less often.

Uh, both. I even sometimes use straight braid too.

Yea I watched on youtube how to tie an alberto knot to connect the braid to the fluoro.  I was using a double uni knot at first and I believe the alberto is a little bit lower profile knot and seems to hold great.

Braid with a leader most of the time.

I think you answered your own question. Braid on a spinning reel with the leader of your choice makes life a lot more easy.
