jdl2425 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I'm looking for a good inflatable boat for under $100 and was wondering if anyone on this forum could recommend one (the online shopping reviews I've found aren't very helpful). My dad has a canoe, but it's a two person job and I'd like to be able to get out on the water whenever I want. I fish small lakes and reservoirs that are electric motor only. Feel free to offer tips and advice as well. Quote
zeth Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 for under 100 you might try kmart. best to save up for a higher quality inflatable. check craigslist as well. 1 Quote
Super User Scott F Posted June 7, 2015 Super User Posted June 7, 2015 For under $100, you'd better look for used. Even good float tubes cost more than $100. In that price range, you are looking at boats that could not be called "good". 1 Quote
jdl2425 Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Thanks for the advice. I figured that would be the case. I'll just wait for a good deal on a kayak. Then I won't have to worry about air leaking out. Quote
nycgrip Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 this would be the least expensive inflatable i would recommend. https://www.seaeagle.com/MotormountBoats/SE8 have a different boat from the same company and the material is near impossible to pierce. Quote

I have this boat.....and it's great. Very very durable and puncture resistant (not puncture proof though) Takes me about 10mins to get on the water Quote
Dogmatic Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 You can score a pontoon, like a classic accessories delaware for around that, gets you out of the water. Quote
SHaugh Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I'd pound craigslist for a canoe... sometimes they run pretty cheap: http://huntsville.craigslist.org/boa/5076455880.html that's the most boat you'll find for that amount of money. Quote

Yeah, my buddy bought a sit-in kayak with paddle and PFD for $100. Now it wasn't anything special or very comfy is you ask me. But would get you on the water. You could always add rod holders later.
