chelboed Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 So tired of putting my lefty Steez on a right-handed rod. Everything feels out of whack. I need to source a good top-shelf lefty rod...7'2" ML M-S glass for bottom bumping. Thoughts? 1 Quote
Super User DogBone_384 Posted June 5, 2015 Super User Posted June 5, 2015 Thoughts..... I don't think I've ever seen a left handed fishing rod in my life, unless someone makes a left handed spiral wrapped custom rod. Please post pictures when you find one. Quote

Super User Choporoz Posted June 5, 2015 Super User Posted June 5, 2015 If it's a lefty reel, can't you just hold the right handed rod in your right hand and reel with your left hand? 1 Quote
IAY Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 If you get a Megabass ARM, they will custom craft the handle based on your hand and whether you are lefty/righty. 2 Quote

Diggy Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The absolute pinnacle of the Megabass line, the ARMS is a masterpiece both to be admired and fished. Featuring Fuji Titanium SiC guides, custom carbon-fiber accents, a metal reel seat custom built by ITO Engineering, hand-finished wooden Maple grips customized for right-handed or left-handed anglers, Hi-Impact Multiplex Graphite blanks from tip to butt end of high-modulus braided graphite, and that fit & finish that can only come from Megabass. These rods are made in extremely limited quantities, and as such, are not stocked at Megabass USA. However, if you are interested in one of the ARMS rods, we can special order one for you. Simply follow the link on the right-hand side to our contact page, and a representative will contact you shortly with the details. 1 Quote

Super User ww2farmer Posted June 6, 2015 Super User Posted June 6, 2015 I use left handed casting reels, but I stay away from the left handed rods because you have to tighten the reel seat nut down with an expensive metric pipe wrench. 4 Quote

The Great Blue Heron Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I never understood why folks roll with a RH baitcaster and then their spinning setup has the crank on the left. In what universe does this even make sense? If you are currently doing this, you are as screwed up as a soup sandwhich. Quote
jtesch Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I enjoy a good soup sandwich, problem is I can never figure out what hand to use the spork with 1 Quote

pbizzle Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I was at a store one time full of left handed paraphernalia. Everything from left handed toilet paper, left handed drinking straws, and yes even left handed fishing rods. I was going to but one for my left handed cousin but I only had my right handed credit card. 1 Quote
