I have seen this lure, and read great reviews about it catching big bass but it has not been picked up by many angler. By that i mean it has not been recognized for much at all? It is called The Snake By TheBassProfessor. It is a topwater snake that comes in Brown, Black, and Albino White. The few people to use this lure have good pics to show of their catches, and a man from south africa has caught a 18#er on it in 2007. Check out this link to read more on the big bass-  bassprofessor.com/BassBlog/professors-blog/near-world-record-largemouth-bass-caught-on-the-snake/

The inventor of this bait Doug Hannon has caught 800 10+ pound bass on it.

I have yet to try this bait, but intend to soon.

Have any of you tried it, or heard of it? What do you think about this lures abillity to catch big fish?

I bought some and never caught anything on them. I still have the floating heard in my terminal tackle box. I figure some day I will want them for something .

I think the ones I have are different from the ones you are referring to . Mine had a ribbon tail worm body and separate floating snake head .

Dude I KNOW somebody bought me those and I still have them somewhere.

I've thrown them a few times but they never got hit like a frog or mouse.  Maybe try again in Florida?

They are 11' long but they catch big bass.

Hannon didn't catch all those fish on the snake; I think that's his total lifetime tally of DDs.  But he was a well-known big bass expert based in (or near) your area -- maybe you're in a posiiton to get more out of this lure than others.

I heard they work well but I can not say for sure.
