Super User new2BC4bass Posted June 4, 2015 Super User Posted June 4, 2015 Assume you are looking for a casting rod. What kind of money are you willing to spend? Quote
Super User smalljaw67 Posted June 4, 2015 Super User Posted June 4, 2015 Is there a brand preference? Do you have a length preference? I ask because on the low end of your price range you can get a Fenwick HMG 7' MH-F rated 3/8oz to 1oz, you get a lot of rod for $100 that will give you a great mix of sensitivity and power with a lifetime warranty. At the other end of your price range you can grab a Daiwa Tatula 7'1" MH-XF rated 1/4oz to 1oz, I don't own one but I know those who do and the rod is considered excellent and should cost a lot more. d-camarena Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 I like falcon, shimano, duckett. Brand dosent really matter. Size id like anywere from 6'10 to 7'3. Also i fish from a boat Quote
SenkoGuru Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I would highly recommend a 7'3 Medium Heavy Duckett Micro Magic Pro. It is a very good rod that will cover many types of baits. Well balanced and sensitive. I'm sure others could recommend other good rod's too. Quote
Texasangler14 Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 i would recommend a 7'3" *** heavy rod. well in your price range and is quite sensitive. Quote

I bought my 3 Tatula rods for $100 or less. The used one was $100, while the 2 new ones were less than $100 with tax.....from Walmart Online. Free shipping to a store near you. They don't have those deals anymore, tho. Nice rods. Am kicking myself for not getting the 7'4" HF when they were listed for $114.97. Quote
