Super User ww2farmer Posted June 4, 2015 Super User Posted June 4, 2015 What color of the Christie Craw is the best working one for you? Watermelon red? Green pumpkin....but that's the wrong question. You should have asked, the when/where/why I am using it, color is not important. Any color I picked would have worked. 1 Quote

beagle 25 Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 My favorite is the xite raptor tail Jr very good as a flipping bait and if you want a smaller jig trailer just bite off an inch and the best trailer I've found love this bait the claws float looks like a craw that is fighting in my opinion a very under appreciated craw but maybe I shouldn't say anything so I can still get them easily on tw Quote

Super User ww2farmer Posted June 8, 2015 Super User Posted June 8, 2015 Farmer, I'm curious about this when/where/why you're using that action craw vs pitt boss. As for may favorite craw: zoom speed craw. I tend to use the pit boss in calmer conditions, and/or clearer water....and almost exclusively for punching heavy, matted stuff. When the wind picks up or the fish pull tight to harder cover in dirty water, like docks, I reach for an action craw type bait. Although, both bait's work well for me in grass, with a nod to the pit boss, rock and or/deeper water out side the typical grass lines that form here in 12'-18' FOW, I like the bait with more action, especial if I am doing a drift and drag with a football jig/trailer combo, or the plastic by itself on a swinging jig head. livemusic Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Some company makes a bait whose ad banner would show up on fishing sites, might have even been this one. I was thinking that it was a Z-man craw but I looked at their line and did not find it. Then I thought it might have been Biospawn. Didn't find it. Whatever it was, the photograph as sensational, it looked so good! The lighting was terrific, a real pro photographer took the pic. Doesn't mean it has good action. I think it was a side view. Whatever it was, I cannot find it to ask about it. Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted June 9, 2015 Super User Posted June 9, 2015 Hard to go wrong with the Rage Craw , Paca Craw , Pit Boss and the like - but here is a sleeper recommendation Craw for you to try : The YUM Christie Craw (not the YUM Craw - it has to be the YUM Christie Craw) ... Just the right amount of action , good basic colors and very cost effective . Lastly , you will start to see this Christie Craw stocked in more and more places as YUM gets behind promoting this Craw soft plastic . * I have no affiliation with YUM or Jason Christie - he is from OK. and I am from TX . - that pretty much sums it up what we think of each other from birth however I give him props for designing a very good Craw !
