The Berkley Lightning Shock Heavy rod can handle that weight class. And they are only about $50 at Walmart. You'll have to order it online though.

And I'll be throwing spinners that are 3/8 almost always on it. The a rigs are a bit of a side lure to toss out. As long as it can handle my a rig currently at about 1 1/2oz it'll be fine

a 3/8oz spinnerbait and a rod to handle 1 1/2oz A-rigs are 2 different rods for me.

I am also in the market for a spinnerbait rod.  I am hoping to see many more suggestions on here.

I use a Phenix MH/F M1 rod for spinnerbaits.

I wouldn't suggest it for the A Rig tho.

Don't throw one, Can't help with that.

Same here. A rod that can handle an A-rig is going to be miserable to use with a 3/8oz spinnerbait, and the same in reverse. Things vary greatly between rod mfgs., but I would be hard pressed to think of any rod I own now, or have owned in the past that would be acceptable to me for either of these tasks.

I throw spinner baits buzz baits and chatter baits all on the same rod. Used to use a 6'10" MH/F now a 7' MH/F. Pretty much any brand in your price range with that action will suffice. But I will say, you don't need to drop $200 you can get something in the $100 ball park that will be great.

As far as A rig you need something much stronger. I use a flipping stick in the rare occasion I throw one.

I like a 6'-6" M Lightning Rod for my spinnerbaits. I mainly throw 3/8 oz. baits.

Just got the Loomis E6X Spinnerbait rod and it's fantastic. I was going to buy the Megabass spinnerbait rod but just didn't want to spend the extra money...I'm very pleased. I have thrown the Quadzilla on it but that's hardly an A-Rig..
