wisconsin heat Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 I have two, but use more. First is the Spro popper. It is so versatile, it walks better than the original, and can pop when I feel that I need to be more aggressive to draw fish in. The other is the Booyah pad crasher, soft, reliable, and it sits at a great angle in the water. Plus it is more affordable than other frogs. I have had 3 Spro originals and they all sank either out of the package, or after a short time fishing, not buying one again. KVD frog sank out of the package too. I have some Snag Proof Perfect and Ish Phat frogs too. No complaints on performance, I jut think that the Pad Crasher overall is a slightly better frog, and costs a little less. I'm going to be trying out Booyah's popper offering this season. Quote

A Booyah Pad Crasher (standard size !) is an awesome frog - great colors (start with Leopard frog or Cricket frog), body collapses well on the bite , very good hooks / hook up ratio , floats well and attractive price . If you want it to walk better just trim one of the legs about 1/2 inch shorter than the other one and it will kick out to the side better on a walk-the-dog type retrieve ... At Booyah Pad Crasher prices - it's fun to experiment with different colors and actions (by trimming the leg length on one side as previlusly mentioned) . Quote

Been throwing them nonstop for the last 4-5 days when I can make it out. I like the *** because of the legs. Gives it so much lifelike action. I have two Spros, which are also good, but I prefer the ***. What's the matter with the word Lunker Hunt? Quote

In fact, my two biggest bass have come on a Pad Crasher Jr. I don't mind the Koppers Live Target either but I have much more confidence in a Pad Crasher. Bronzeye shad in killer gill. ? I tried the lunker hunt combat frog and it just sunk. Do they all do that? Yours wasn't the only one. A friend of mine bought one and his sinks about halfway through his retrieve. Quote

BassMaster17 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 Absolutely nothing is better than the livetarget hollow body frog, im a froggin fanatic and i have tried about 50 different frogs or so, livetarget is the softest most realistic frog on the market. but if your a poor man, believe it or not the scum frog is a catchin machine, mainly because of how soft it is, you can get some real nice hook sets with it. i would suggest everyone to atleast give livetarget a try, and you'll be hooked Quote

tatertester Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I have found 2 different frogs that stand out from the rest . Booyah Pad Crasher, A floating collapsible frog that gets a high percentage of hooksets . It has sticky sharp dual frog hook that is positioned to be exposed with very little bite pressure , and, PivotFrog from Sebile that is shaped much like other floating frogs , but, has a single larger hook that is midway between the rear legs of the frog , is weighted , and pivots upward for great hook exposure when a strike happens........I've tried a lot of other frogs ,and, these two have my vote.
