Chris186 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Zoom baby brush hog, either watermelon seed or big Texan Quote
Canyon explorer Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I'd go with an 1/4 oz Arkie jig and change trailer with the depth; from twin tailed hula grubs in the column and power worms on bottom structure. Quote
BradGuenette Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 1/4oz black bucktail hair jig. It'll catch anything, anywhere. Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted June 13, 2015 Super User Posted June 13, 2015 Skinny Dipper soft paddle tail swim bait (houdini) Mike Ditto except I would go with the Bullfrog color. Quote
BooyahMan Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Booyah Pad Crasher. I live for that top water strike. Quote
cjam93 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Green Pumpkin magic Ultravibe Speedcraw. It is my favorite bait to c-rig, and makes a great texas rig too plus so many other things Quote
zell_pop1 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Sexy shad colored spinnerbait. I can fish slow or fast deep or shallow with it. Quote
dday07 Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Has to be a topwater...buzzbait most versatile Quote
lo n slo Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 6" Zoom Lizard in Green Pumpkin w/ chartreuse tail (Spike-it) Bullet/ 3.0 Gama EWG Quote
hatrix Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 It would have to be a swimbait. Probably a basstrix. Maybe a big hammer and I could use or make some weedless heads. If it was a hardbait and I could make it pretty weedless or the most part then it's a s-song Quote
Super User Big Bait Fishing Posted September 9, 2015 Super User Posted September 9, 2015 i'd take a 8'' Hudd ROF 16 in rainbow trout or a Canyon Plastics 4.5'' frog in green pumkin swirl ... Quote
hatrix Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 i'd take a 8'' Hudd ROF 16 in rainbow trout or a Canyon Plastics 4.5'' frog in green pumkin swirl ... Your really making it hard on your self with the ROF 16. You have to cut it open and take out some lead and its kinda a pita to do sometimes. It does help to have that picture that shows where all the lead is in the different ROF's. I would go with a 5 and nail weight it Quote
stkbassn Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 White/Chart double willow gold/silver blade 3/8 oz War Eagle spinnerbait, no doubt. Quote
Jake the Cake Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 Storm Wildeye Swim Shad 3", or a classic 5" Green pumpkin worm. Don't know if I could make that decision without flipping a coin. Quote

I would go with a 5 and nail weight it i don't fish them in the water column , i fish them on the bottom , VERRRRY SLOOOOWLY !!! , the extra weight keeps them down where i want the bait on a long cast without it nosing up on me . bigfruits Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 easy for me - 1/4oz arkie jig head with a yamamoto double tail hula grub. I would not quit the hobby (but would sell about a dozen rods). Quote

I think everyone crawl the bottom with them. I dot have deeps Cali lakes that I fish and throw hudds in places that might only be 5' deep or even less at time. A lot f time a ROF 12 or something will dig to much. Even the 5's don't always want to stay down enough but I can easily add weight. Just putting a tear drop sinker on the bottom ring works great and still keep the bait in balance so it falls perfectly level. Quote
Super User bigbill Posted September 9, 2015 Super User Posted September 9, 2015 I'm going to say a jig n pig there is no off season it works all year. Colors may vary from molting, to mating to your average area color. Quote
