Super User RoLo Posted June 3, 2015 Super User Posted June 3, 2015 You joke, but I've seen the 'copter work...of all the colors, my buddy threw a red one a lot, and he did catch fish on them. on topic: If you're gonna take all my baits just leave me the green pumpkin tubes The joke is tongue-in-cheek, but the main thrust is not: 'Every' lure catches bass. I have a friend named George in Pennsylvania who adores the Banjo Minnow, and he is far from alone. Roger Quote
Super User Cgolf Posted June 3, 2015 Super User Posted June 3, 2015 Bandit 100 as you can almost always find shallow fish. Quote
KayakBasser Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 When it comes to totall versatility only one thing comes to mind...1/2 ounce green pumpkin jig, shallow, deep, heavy cover, rocky dropoffs, there is not much a jig can't do. It's also a great tournament bait because it It WILL produce big fish. good luck. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted June 4, 2015 Super User Posted June 4, 2015 For bass only a plastic worm. For all game fish a jig and grub . Quote

Ozark_Basser Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 A-Jay That's a solid rig A-Jay. If you don't mind me asking, do you use a punch hub for the skirt? And what trailer is that? 1 Quote
einscodek Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Im a big plastics and spinnerbait advocate but if God came down and restricted me to only 1 toy it'd hafta be TOPWATER! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted June 5, 2015 Super User Posted June 5, 2015 Punching rig, green tungstun weight, green pumpkin skirt, what is the trailor? That's a solid rig A-Jay. If you don't mind me asking, do you use a punch hub for the skirt? And what trailer is that? Thanks guys and Yes I do use the BOSS Punch Hub - makes the whole deal very versatile. As for the bait - well that's a 5 inch Berkley Power Bait Beast - and unfortunately it's Very Discontinued. You can still pick some up on Ebay occasionally. The beauty of that trailer is this - if you choose to use a lighter weight , say 1/2 or less, because of the trailers width - the bait will perform a very attractive "Glide" on a slack or semi-slack line. During certain times, the subtle action appendages & the glide are killer. Of course the whole deal is extremely effective with a the craw of your choice as well. There are a few current baits on the market that have a similar profile and do a decent job gliding; but having "ribs" on the bait's body running parallel to the hook seems to make a difference. I managed to stock pile a career supply over the years and so I'm pretty well set. A-Jay Quote
dam0007 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Jerkbait. Keeps me active as I hate using the little patience I have for finesse and slow presentations. Spinner bait a close second. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 5, 2015 Super User Posted June 5, 2015 I agree, every time this thread comes up (once a month or so), I pretty much have the same answer: I'd find a less limiting hobby. Quote
Big C Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Do I have an endless supply? If so I want it to be the Roman Made Mother. Quote
BigSkyBasser Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I can fish year around anywhere with Roboworms, either drop shot, t rigged, or wacky. It also happens to be a coincidence that Aaron Martens is my favorite elite pro and he seems to be able to do the exact same thing. Super versatile technique. Quote
I.rar Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 Spro phat flies on my UL rig. I'm confident I can catch fish in any water, any time of year. 1 Quote
