ThatZX14Fella Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I took my Pflueger apart to see what I need to buy to fix it. How do I get the line guide off the reel? Took both side plates off, took the screw out of the handle side and the clip and washers off of the other side. It's free, but I don't know how to get the worm gear out and the plastic pieces separated. Quote
Super User rippin-lips Posted June 1, 2015 Super User Posted June 1, 2015 You need to remove the pawl cap, and the pawl. Then you can slide the line guide out. Without seeing a picture it's a guess. Quote

ThatZX14Fella Posted June 1, 2015 Author Posted June 1, 2015 He should post a pic. Can't post pics on here, but I got it. I just have to order a new pawl and I'll hopefully be smart enough to fix it. Quote

nicksmurf111 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 On the older baitcasters, the pawl came out the under-side of the level wind (under a cap like rippin-lips wrote). I imagine the low profile reels are similar. Quote
