i know there are a lot of threads about this line but i have a specific question about the diameter. I know its fairly thick per lb test, but i usually use 20lb fluoro down here in florida and I am interested in trying this line as i am running low on Trilene 100%, my question is if you guys find the 15lb unmanageble with line conditioner. I know a lot of people like the 12lb and is quite manageable it sounds like but im worried about being outmatched here in florida with some of these fish

I have the 15 on a squarebill rod, it is not unmanageable at all. It is about the same as 100% or XT in terms of stiffness and memory. 15 yo-zuri would match up very well to your 20# 100%.

I have casted the 15# with a 3/8oz jig and worked fine.

I like the green but unfortunately they are only showing clear on their website.

I have used this line before in 15# and never had problems with it. But I always treated it with KVD L&L really well when spooling it up and before going on a fishing trip.

I live in Florida.

I throw 15# YZ hybrid for almost everything.

I've done this for quite a few years now.

I rarely use conditioner.

After reading the review here I spooled up 15# Yozuri before my last tournament and it preformed really well, but I did treat it the night before with L&L. I have P-line floroclear 15# on another rod and it cast a little smoother but the Yozuri seemed a lot stronger and less stretch. I'm headed to Pickwick in a few weeks and think I'm going to try 12 # hybrid in the clearer water. The Yozuri does feel thicker the the P-line in the same weight but I'm not sure about the actual size.

I just got a package in from the bay. 12#, 3 lb spool (14,400 yds) for $44.00 shipped. I'm good for a long time and I have come to love this line. I have no experience with 15# YZ so I can't comment there but the 12# is awesome line. Super strong and a knot strength is incredible.

Well yes. Technically it's a little thicker for it's advertised diameter but it also breaks at ~40% above that number too.

If you're truly worried about it, definitely feel free to size down accordingly. It will sill work.
