I have trained myself so hard with hooksets that it's soooo hard to "untrain" my reflexes and wait a little. I've had about 5-6 strikes so far, none hooked thanks to my stupidity, and I actually caught a warmouth on one. Still trying hard! Quote

FloridaBasser1 Posted May 31, 2015 Author Posted May 31, 2015 well look up frog trailer hooks, and try to get a set. i'm only using a light spinning combo(6lb mono) with a little Wali world frog. you don't need much to winch them out. But try this frog, they have them at wal mart, and they are a smaller package. heres what they look like on the frog these fit all size frogs try these smaller size frogs, i caught all my bass on it. and i lost some to but the trailer hook should help. I do respect all animals, and if i don't intend to eat it i make sure I treat it with respect. And trust me, a bass has never spoke to a human and said this hurts me when you hold me this way, and if they did, they would probably say can you not hook me, it hurts also. So if you don't mind, don't tell me how to handle a dead fish(was already dead) that i plan to eat tommorow . Thanks, for the exta comment, you contributed to this becoming a hot topic! Lol Quote
