doyle8218 Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 Just 1. I find it hard to handle 2 rods at once. 1 Quote
BigSkyBasser Posted June 1, 2015 Posted June 1, 2015 I honestly just started fishing with jigs this year on a regular basis. I used my Revo s on a 7' Lightning Rod. The only reason most fisherman out here flip jigs is to target the larger smallies when we find schools. I haven't really invested good money in a nicer baitcast rod yet but have my eye on a couple Fenwick and Dobyns that I might cash in on. Quote

Must have cost a fortune! Bet they are worth every penny on the water though......very jealous. I haven't really invested in many technique specific baitcast rods but have my eye on a couple. Fenwick and Dobyns in peticular seem like a fit for my wallet and style. Would like to pair a couple with some of the Lexa on sale at TW. Quote

The difference is not as much as you think, if any at all. Plus, you get to make the rod exactly how you want it! Shoot me a DM and I can get you hooked up if you are interested! Quote

They aren't the best rods for it imo. I have a 893C and use it for spinnerbaits and swim jigs. For bottom contact I'd rather pay for a Fenwick Aetos. Quote

That's the problem I've been up against. Seems like G loomis is the only good builder that offers one. Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted June 3, 2015 Global Moderator Posted June 3, 2015 I have 8 different rods I use for jigs for one reason or another. They're all either St. Croix LTB's or Academy Ethos rods. Quote
