Fisherman) Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Has anyone tried a Sabiki rig in a pond or lake? I bought one while at the beach and I couldn't find anything online about using it in freshwater.. Let me know about your experiences with it in fresh water!! Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted May 31, 2015 Global Moderator Posted May 31, 2015 Catfish guys use them to catch skipjacks at times. I'm sure you could use them for bluegills or perch but a lot of states have limits on the number of hooks you can have at a time. In Kansas we can only have 2 hooks so they're illegal. Quote

Super User BassinLou Posted May 31, 2015 Super User Posted May 31, 2015 LOL... I saw sabiki rig and I thought there was a saltwater forum.... Sabiki rig, and chicken rig same thing. Personally never used it in freshwater. Saltwater different story. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted May 31, 2015 Super User Posted May 31, 2015 They make killer perch rigs. I cut them in half & modify them to get two rigs out of one. PA only allows three hooks per line. 1 Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted June 1, 2015 Super User Posted June 1, 2015 When I do use them I cut them in half myself. I don't carry a bucket and aerator so I really only want to catch 1 bait at a time. Quote
